Wine

La Rioja is probably the most famous wine región in Spain, but the reputation of Catalunya is ever higher, and a wine lover would always be advised to check out the local vinyards. Penedes has several fine examples where you can try the local wines while enjoying speciality food from the area, and a visit by helicopter can make the journey shorter. In the autumn, there is even the honeymoon option of treading the grapes with your feet in the traditional manner. And if you fancy going further afield, the Priorat región has some excellent wine and spectacular scenery.
